CarryOn Launches Maritime Education Scholarship Program

CarryOn Shipping Platform has announced the establishment of its Maritime Education Scholarship Program, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at nurturing the next generation of shipping industry professionals in both Australia and China.

The program, with an initial investment of $5 million, will provide comprehensive support for students pursuing maritime and logistics education. "We believe in investing in the future of our industry," said Robert Chen, CarryOn's Education Program Director. "These scholarships will help create the next generation of industry leaders."

The scholarship program includes:

  • Full tuition coverage for selected students
  • Internship opportunities at CarryOn facilities
  • Mentorship from industry professionals
  • Cross-cultural exchange programs
  • Industry certification support

In its inaugural year, the program will support 50 students across various maritime institutions in Australia and China. The initiative has received strong endorsement from educational institutions and industry associations in both countries.

"This program goes beyond financial support," explained Dr. Amanda White, Academic Partnership Coordinator. "We're creating a comprehensive ecosystem that combines academic learning with practical industry experience, preparing students for successful careers in international shipping."

CarryOn plans to expand the program annually, with aims to support 200 students by 2030. The company will also organize regular industry forums and workshops to connect scholarship recipients with potential employers and industry leaders.
