CarryOn Expands Service Network with Five New Australian Distribution Centers

CarryOn Logistics has announced a major expansion of its Australian operations with the opening of five new distribution centers across the country. This strategic move represents a $50 million investment and will significantly enhance the company's capability to serve the growing Australia-China trade corridor.

The new facilities, located in Brisbane, Adelaide, Perth, Darwin, and Hobart, will complement CarryOn's existing operations in Sydney and Melbourne. Each center is equipped with state-of-the-art warehousing technology and will create approximately 100 local jobs per location.

"This expansion marks a significant milestone in our commitment to the Australian market," said Michael Thompson, CarryOn's CEO for Australia Pacific. "By establishing these new distribution centers, we're not just growing our business – we're investing in local communities and strengthening our ability to serve customers across the entire continent."

The new facilities will feature:

  • Advanced inventory management systems
  • Sustainable building design with solar power integration
  • Electric vehicle charging stations for delivery fleets
  • Training facilities for local logistics professionals

The expansion is expected to reduce delivery times by up to 40% and will enable CarryOn to handle a 200% increase in shipping volume between Australia and China. The company plans to have all new facilities fully operational by the end of 2025.
